6:45 am: We’ve got another chilly morning with the waves appearing to be bottomed out at 1/2 a foot to barely a foot. Our local winds are currently blowing out of the WSW @ 4 to 9 knots, making for some clean but very small scale conditions. The marine forecast is calling for SW winds today. Our local buoy is currently reading 1.3 feet @ 15 seconds, down significantly from yesterday’s reading of 3.9 feet at 5 seconds.The water temperature is measured at 71.4 degrees early this morning.  You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

Strong cold fronts are pushing through Florida, scouring out tropical moisture the second half of November with the 2024 hurricane season coming to a close. Cold fronts and coastal lows will determine our wind, waves and water temps. The unseasonably cold (January-like!) weather this weekend will drop surf temps below 70F and lead to the longest (in months) small to eventually flat spell leading up to Thanksgiving Day. There is hope for improvement later in the holiday weekend as noted in The Surf Station Forecast.
