6:45 am: It looks like the waves have decreased again overnight, with waves in the 1 to maybe 2 foot range. The waves are looking to mostly be in the shin to knee high range with cleaner conditions than yesterday. Our local winds are currently blowing out of the SW @ 8 knots, and our St Augustine buoy is currently reading 2.3 feet @ 12 seconds, holding from yesterday’s 2.3 foot readings. The marine forecast calling for stronger SE winds through most of the day, increasing to 10 to 15 knots by the evening. The water temperature is measured at 75 degrees at The Pier this morning, Overall, it’s looking small scale and weak at report time. We have a high tide coming up at 8:55 this morning, so your best bet would be to find your favorite high tide sand bar and break out a board with plenty of foam, You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

12:15 pm: The waves are looking pretty similar to this morning, in the 1 to 2 foot range with just fair condition. The winds have switched onshore, currently blowing out of the ESE @ 10 knots. We have a low tide coming up at 2:47 this afternoon, but I don’t think that there’s enough swell for it to start breaking on the outside, so I would look for the waves to just bottom out with that drained tide. Overall, it’s looking small but rideable if you want to get out there and enjoy the beautiful weather today.
