6:30 am: It looks like the waves have decreased even more overnight, in the barely one foot range at report time. Our local buoy is currently reading 2 feet @ 3 seconds, with waves in the shin to knee high range. Our local winds are currently blowing out of the WSW @ 6 knots, so the surface conditions are looking clean early. We have a high tide coming up just after 10 this morning, but I’m not really thinking that we’re going to see much of an increase in size with that tide push. We’ll be keeping our eyes on it throughout the day. Our marine forecast projecting those winds to become more SE throughout the day, adding some chop. The water temperature is measured at 78 degrees this morning at The Pier. You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

2:15 pm: It’s looking super small scale at report time, with very clean conditions. It’s hot on the sand, with our local winds currently blowing out of the NW @ 3 knots. The waves are mostly in the half a foot range, with maybe a very occasional one foot set wave. Our local buoy is currently reading 1 foot @ 8 seconds, down from earlier this morning. Overall, it’s looking like a better day to fish or break out the paddle board if you’re wanting to get on the water this weekend.
Misc: Did you see our North Beach Cam caught a Tiger Shark on video? Footage is posted here.
