Strong cold fronts are pushing through Florida, scouring out tropical moisture the second half of November with the 2024 hurricane season coming to a close. Cold fronts and coastal lows will determine our wind, waves and water temps. The unseasonably cold (January-like!) weather this weekend will drop surf temps below 70F and lead to the longest (in months) small to eventually flat spell leading up to Thanksgiving Day. There is hope for improvement later in the holiday weekend as noted in The Surf Station Forecast. Here is an overview of a large-scale, real-time wind map to track the shifting winds associated with the fronts and lows that produce our waves.
